【商品の特徴や使い方等】
EF66形電気機関車は、国鉄が東海道・山陽本線系統の高速貨物列車専用機として1963(昭和43)年から量産を開始した電気機関車です。
1985(昭和60)年からは「はやぶさ」、「富士」、「さくら」、「あさかぜ」、「みずほ」といったブルートレインの牽引機としても活躍しましたが、現在はJR貨物が保有する車両のみが現役として運用に就いています。
製品はJR貨物所属車の新更新塗装機の一つですが、その中でも唯一車体裾の帯が白太線の54号機を再現したモデルです。
最小走行半径はR95と大変コンパクトです。

The EF66 type electric locomotive is an electric locomotive that JNR started mass production in 1963 (Showa 43) as a dedicated machine for high-speed freight trains of the Tokaido / Sanyo main line system.
Since 1985 (Showa 60), it has also been used as a traction machine for blue trains such as "Hayabusa," "Fuji," "Sakura," "Asakaze," and "Mizuho," but currently, only vehicles owned by JR Freight are available.
The product is one of the new renewal painting machines of the cars belonging to JR Freight, but it is the only model reproducing the 54th machine with a thick white line at the hem of the car body.
The minimum mileage is R95, which is very compact.
