国鉄C57形蒸気機関車は細身で優美なボイラーから「貴婦人」の愛称で親しまれた蒸気機関車です。
111号機は1939(昭和14)年に製造され、1968(昭和43)年に早岐機関区で引退の時を迎えました。1958年に開催された大分県全国植樹祭の際は、お召し列車牽引の栄誉にあずかりました。
最小走行半径はR145となります。

JNR C57 steam locomotive is nicknamed "Lady" for its slender and elegant boiler.
At the Oita Prefecture National Tree-Planting Festival held in 1958, I was honored to tow a royal train. Unit 111 was manufactured in 1939 (Showa 14), and in 1968 (Showa 43), it was time to retire in the Hayagi engine district. The minimum mileage is R145.
