国鉄C57形蒸気機関車は細身で優美なボイラーから「貴婦人」の愛称で親しまれた蒸気機関車です。
19号機はC57形蒸気機関車一次形グループの中でも標準的なディテールを持つ車両で、1938(昭和13)年に製造され、1972(昭和47)年に新津機関区で引退の時を迎えました。現在は新潟市新津鉄道資料館にて静態保存されています。
最小走行半径はR145となります。

JNR C57 steam locomotive is nicknamed "Lady" for its slender and elegant boiler.
Unit 19 is a car with standard details in the C57 type steam locomotive primary type group, manufactured in 1938 (Showa 13) and reached the time of retirement in the Niitsu engine district in 1972 (Showa 47). .. Currently, it is statically preserved at the Niitsu Railway Museum in Niigata City.
The minimum mileage is R145.
