【商品の特徴や使い方等】
50系客車は1977年、国鉄が主に地方都市圏の通勤・通学用に設計・製造した一般形客車で、その鮮やかな赤い塗装から『レッドトレイン』の愛称がつけられました。
全国各地で運用されましたが、次第に活躍の場を失い、2001年には赤い車体の一般仕様車の運用は終了しました。
しかしながら現在も「SLもおか」や「SL人吉」用の客車など、装いを新たにして活躍する車両もあります。最小走行半径はR95と大変コンパクトです。

【Product features and usage, etc.】
The 50 series passenger car is a general type passenger car designed and manufactured by JNR mainly for commuting to work and school in local metropolitan areas in 1977. It was nicknamed "Red Train" because of its bright red paint.
Although it was operated all over the country, it gradually lost its place of activity. In 2001, after the operation of the general specification car with a red body was terminated.
However, some cars, such as "SL Mooka" passenger cars and "SL Hitoyoshi," have still been refurbished. The minimum mileage is R95, which is very compact.
