500 TYPE EVAは山陽新幹線全線開業40周年と「新世紀エヴァンゲリオン」放送開始20周年を記念して、2015年11月に登場した車両です。
劇中に登場する「エヴァンゲリオン初号機」を模したカラーリングをまとい、車内にはその操縦席を再現した体験ルーム等も設置されました。最小走行半径はR195となります。

The 500 TYPE EVA is a car that appeared in November 2015 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opening of all Sanyo Shinkansen lines and the 20th anniversary of the start of the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" broadcasting.
Wearing coloring that imitates the "Evangelion Unit 1" that appears in the play, there is also an experience room that reproduces the cockpit in the car. The minimum mileage is R195.
